Science

Students learn about the natural and made worlds and how to apply scientific skills, knowledge and understanding across a broad range of contexts.

Science is mandatory for all students from Kindergarten to Year 10 and is articulated through the Science and Technology K-6 Syllabus (2017) and Science 7-10 Syllabus (2018).

Science provides a way of inquiring about the world around us. It explores evidence and investigates ways to discover, develop and produce solutions to real-world problems. The inquiry and skill-based nature of science opens doors to ideas and discoveries.

Through a study of science, students learn to apply scientific skills through working scientifically to test, collaborate, investigate, explain and validate information.
