The SSP quality teaching support allocation is provided to SSPs on the basis of notional enrolments. The notional enrolment in an SSP setting is the number of classes multiplied by 30. For example, 10 classes results in a notional enrolment of 300 students.
Schools for specific purposes (SSP) quality teaching support
Schools for specific purposes (SSP) quality teaching support is an additional full-time equivalent (FTE) allocation to SSPs to provide additional quality teaching support. The allocation is on page 9 of the School Budget Allocation Report (SBAR).
Schools have the flexibility to decide the best use of the resource to enhance professional practice. Principals working in consultation with staff and the school community can determine the strategic allocation of resources to best meet the needs of their students.
Some support may be for the entire school and some may be for particular groups.
