Meet ‘Zebedee’, a hand-held three-dimensional mapping system consisting of a lightweight scanner that measures distance by illuminating a target with a laser, and then analysing the reflected light. Zebedee is being used for mapping mines, heritage sites and crime scenes, and scanning and analysing locations that were previously inaccessible to larger and cumbersome devices.
